Judgement

24/9/2022

A few friends and I have been chatting recently about how we have noticed how much negative energy there is on social media. We're not just talking about FaceBook but also Twitter (the worst) and Instagram. How many people are being judged for how they look, their style, and negative interpretations of how a person is holding themselves. Is this negative energy based on fear, fear of not feeling worthy, fear of not having enough, fear of where is the next meal coming from? People are not born judgemental so it has to stem from somewhere within their past.
We can all catch ourselves every now and again having a fleeting moment of judging someone. But what sets those people apart is if they stop themselves before those unkind words pass their lips.
I don't believe anyone feels good when those thoughts come to mind. To shed negative energy means we are putting negative energy out into the world for anyone and everyone to pick up and carry with us to the next person. So spreading negativity from one person to another.
It's easy to stop this flow of negative energy and one way is to realise that not everything is our business. We can have an opinion but is that opinion worthy of us. I have an opinion on certain cosmetic surgery procedures. But that opinion is only if the surgery would suit me. I have no right to decide if anyone else should have cosmetic surgery to enhance their features. I've not walked in their shoes and have no idea what has bought them to the decision to have whatever surgical procedure they have chosen.
So when you find a negative thought drifting into your thoughts maybe you could stop for a moment and ask yourself what is it about YOU that has made you think those thoughts.
Expand your mind, expands your spiritual path.
I wish you well dear friend.
Love love love, Lyn x
p.s. my mother had a facelift so no judgement here.

Beauty

BEAUTY.. is the word for today.
So what does this word mean to you?
Beauty comes from within. A person who has a beautiful natural disposition IS beautiful.
Natural beauty is beautiful.
A person who goes beyond the norm to help is beautiful.
There's beauty in art, creativity, and a persons talent can be seen as beautiful.
There's beauty in movement, expression, and the spoken word.
We all have beauty within us though not all recognise their own beauty.
My challenge to you today is to see the beauty in each other, especially your own beauty.

Moving Forward

MOVING FORWARD... From today a new beginning is created. New adventures. New directions. New projects. . Now is the time to move forward on your path with a clear vision. To allow new energies to come to you to lead you to somewhere more productive than where you have been. Each day brings new universal energy. Breath deep so this energy permeates your entire body, refreshing, renewing every cell of your being. Give thanks to the universe for gifting you with each glorious breath. Breath deep dear friend. Feel your spirits being lifted with each breath. You are the commander of your life. You get to chose where your path leads. While remembering not all paths are straight and smooth. There will be rough terrain, dips and highs twists and turns, diversions, sometimes we have to go back on ourselves to reach our final destination.
I wish you a path full of exciting adventures. Lyn x

PLAY... I know it's Monday, with the whole week stretched out in front of us, and some may say the worst day of the week. But why? each day is an opportunity to start afresh with a new project, friendship, job.. there are so many choices we can make to bring happiness into our lives and the lives of others. So for today, let us plan a play date for at least half an hour when we do something, read, cook, chat. It's all about doing something that makes our Monday lift our soul and makes us feel joyous.
Happy Monday vibes are coming your way... Love love love x

STRESS

The silent killer.

As you know, stress affects our blood pressure. It causes muscle tension. And the one many of us recognise is difficulty sleeping.

We as people we don't always recognise when our bodies are under stress; that's where meditation can help us to relax, releasing the pressure our bodies can be under.

In meditation muscular tension will be released, automatically relieves pain and increases mobility letting the body relax. As a result, the breath, body fluids and nerve impulses can flow more freely.

Meditation stimulates the immune system and the production of white blood cells. The immune system winds down when the body is stressed. The healing process works best when the body is relaxed or sleeping. It is so important to get as many hours of sleep as possible to give your body time to recover from the day.

Meditation increases blood circulation to the digestive tract, the skin, the brain. When we are stressed, our digestive system shuts down. The blood supply is re-directed into the muscles for the "fight-or-flight" reflex. Meditation reverses this, and the digestive system can function efficiently again. The flow of blood to the skin and the extremities can be directly experienced as a pleasant tingling when you relax. Improved circulation means your entire body is better fed with nutrients and waste products removed more efficiently.

Meditation dramatically affects hormonal activity. The stress hormones diminish during meditation: however, it also appears that a person who meditates regularly brings about a pattern of hormonal secretion. This is generally typical of someone five to ten years younger than themselves; this suggests that the physical stresses of age do not weigh heavily on a person who meditated. Meditators are like people who are very fit. They often look younger than their actual age.

Meditation balances left and right hemisphere activity. Each hemisphere of the brain governs the motor coordination of the opposite side of the body. If one hemisphere is overactive, the body can be slightly lopsided, twisted or out of balance, which naturally creates physical tension. Anxious people tend to tie themselves in knots. The left hemisphere usually governs thinking while the right rules feelings. Many of us get caught on one side or the other. We may be overthinking all day or awash with emotion. Meditation balances these.

General health indications. The medical evidence suggests that meditation can benefit insomnia, migraine, asthma, chronic pain, hypertension, allergies and recovery after illness. In addition, it frequently has positive results with psychosomatic skin disorders, digestive tract and nervous system.

PERSPECTIVE

Now, you all know the saying"what you focus on grows" or "you get more of what you focus on" so why oh why are some people focusing on fear and negativity. I'm not one for putting my head in the sand though I have unfollowed those who are living in fear to protect myself from their negative behaviour. Now, we also know there is talk about coming out of lockdown, which is a good thing on one level...what may not be a good thing is how we come out of lockdown will be approached. Will we approach it in a measured way or go for it like a mad person and consume everything in our path. I know I'm not the only person to be enjoying the cleaner air, the birdsong, the peace and quiet of the roads and the connections. I hear voices that were rushed and stressed with all they had to do are now relaxed, warm and loving in a way they had not been before. So we'll have choices to make, do we go back to the life we had or will we look to change what is no longer necessary in our lives. I know which choice I'm going to make and that's one for the good of all.

SMILE

Because it was raining yesterday I drove my son to the supermarket or should I say chauffeured him there while he sat in the back, social distancing even in the car. While I waited for him to finish our shopping I people watched and what I noticed was the glum faces of the people who were out shopping, the single focus to get to where they were going with not even a brief glance to another person. A smile never killed anyone though it can be more infectious than the COVID-19 virus. There's no doubt this is a scary time and for my son and me we've have had our moment of anxiety until we decided fear was stealing our happiness and with that thought, we changed the way we felt about this virus and we've had so much fun together. Neither of us can imagine what it must be life for anyone who is on their own or living in a property with no outside area to sit in. We send our love and blessings to you for a speedy resolution to this virus.
So how about when you are out o share a smile or two, you never know the more of us infecting people with our smiles could give the planet a chance to heal.
Sending love and blessings for your continued good health. Lyn xxx

Time to Reflect

1/1/2020

Taking time out to reflect is so essential to our health and happiness.
When we stay in the drama for longer than is healthy, the damage we do to our bodies and mind will take a longer for us to recover from. On a personal level, I stayed too long in an abusive relationship because of my kind nature not to be weak, when in fact the weakness was that I didn't get rid as soon as the abuse started. My life now is full of love, excitement, new and positive beginnings where I am answerable only to myself. So say YES to this and take a moment to reflect on where you have been and where you are today, what needs to change, how can you make those changes with the highest benefit to all involved?
Let's make 2020 a new beginning on many levels, and if you don't think you can make those changes on your own, ask for help, many good souls are willing to give a helping hand.
Daily meditation is a good starting point and if that's not for you take a few minutes to just sit with no distractions, wait, see what comes up for you, reflect on it, move on and make those changes needed now.
Love, hugs and best wishes from me to you xxx
