Close your eyes and settle with a few breaths focusing on your heart centre. Relax, let your shoulders drop. Enjoy the rhythm of your breath for a moment or two.
Take your focus to your toes. How do they feel? Don't interact with anything you sense, feel or see in your mind's eye, just be aware of anything that comes up for you. Move up to your feet and again just be aware of any sensations that come to you before moving on to your ankles, can you feel any shackles here keeping you stuck? Move on to your lower legs, wait a moment to give your body a chance to talk to you. Move up to your knee's, are they painful, if so where is it you're not supporting yourself, give yourself a moment or two to listen to your body. Move on to your thighs, then your buttocks, can you feel the weight of you sitting on your seat. Moving up to your pelvis is their discomfort here, why are you stopping yourself from moving forward in your life. Move up to your stomach and lower back and pause, now move onto your chest and middle back. Moving on to your shoulders, is there a heaviness here, are you carrying the weight of something on them. Moving down to your upper arms, elbows, forearms, wrists, hands to the tips of your fingertips, pausing at each step to allow your body to speak to you. Then moving up to your throat, how does it feel here, is there a lump in your throat, a blockage, a thickening feeling from unspoken words. Then moving up to your head, listen, is there something here for you to learn. All the time giving thanks to your amazing body for all the support it has offered you throughout your years walking, skipping, running, laughing, feeling joyous and helping you through the many traumas, illnesses and heartaches you have endured as well as the good and great times since your birth.
